What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. They let the site recognise you between requests — which is what keeps you signed in as you move between pages.
What we use them for
- Strictly necessary — your session cookie, which keeps you signed in and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. The site cannot function without these.
- Preferences — remembering choices such as a dismissed banner, so you are not asked twice.
- Analytics — aggregate counts of which pages and lessons are used, so we can improve the material. These do not identify you to us by name.
What we do not use them for
We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell cookie-derived data to third parties.
Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its privacy settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and prevent you from purchasing or accessing courses. Most browsers also offer a “do not track” signal, which we honour for analytics.
Third parties
Our payment provider sets its own cookies during checkout in order to process the transaction and detect fraud. Those cookies are governed by that provider’s policy.
